System center configuration manager 2012 R2 (Part2)

Ok after we installed our SCCM 2012 R2 in part1, in this part we will be installing CU2 for SCCM 2012 .

The cumulative 2 for SCCM 2012 R2 is released in 28 Jun 2014 (yesterday for me now),This update replaces Cumulative Update 1 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, for detailed information about Cumulative Update 2 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, please refer to Cumulative Update 2

clip_image00172 In the setup wizard Cumulative Update 2 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager. Click on Next.

clip_image00172 Click I accept these license terms and click on Next.

clip_image00172 After the prerequisite check is done click Next.

clip_image00172 Will install the update for the Configuration Manager 2012 R2 console. Click on Next.

clip_image00172 Select to Update the Database. Click Next.

clip_image00172 We will select to create all packages. Click Next.

clip_image00172 The name of the package for CM servers would be R2 CU2-server update-Site Code. Click on Next.

clip_image00172 Click on Finish. Restart the server.

clip_image00172  Again Launch the Configuration Manager 2012 R2 console, click on Software Library, expand Overview, expand Application Management, expand Packages and click on Configuration Manager Updates. “”

To verify we check the CU Level registry data under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Setup\.
If the upgrade was successful, the value should be “2”.
